Test Creation
It’s so simple to set-up a test in Compusense® at-hand. That’s because we’ve designed the software for marketing and sensory research professionals. You’ll never have to learn a scripting language. With Compusense at-hand’s intuitive interface design and easy-to-use drag and drop design features, you’ll have your test up in a snap.
Test Overview
Consult the test overview flow chart for a step-by-step guide to creating, running and analyzing a test.
Sections
Tests can be made up of a single section or multiple sections. This gives you the flexibility to run different types of questionnaires with different designs and samples—all within the same test.
Branching, Skipping and Answer Piping
Want to use information gathered at the beginning of the questionnaire in a later question?
Branching questions allow you to direct a panelist to any question in the test based on their response to a previous question. The responses can be played back to panelists (wildcards), piped forward to questions (answer piping) and questions can be skipped and/or auto answered based on the panelist’s response. This question technique creates an adaptive ballot to gather meaningful data for screening and find winning products and concepts.
Create Templates
You can save tests, questions and attributes to a shared library that can be accessed by other analysts in your organization. They will have the chance to leverage any of these elements to speed up the creation of a new test. This simplifies the workflow, minimizes redundant effort and maximizes productivity.
Instant Preview
Compusense at-hand allows you to preview a test—viewing it from the panelist's perspective—as you create it. This gives you an excellent opportunity to tweak and revise the test which saves you valuable time and expense.
Variety of Sample Presentations
The success of your test often lies in the in the details of its execution. Compusense at-hand spoils you for choice when it comes to presenting samples to your panels. For example, a panelist can enter a code to receive a predetermined sample set or to receive the next available sample set in the sequence of the design. You can assign samples to specific panelists, then print mailing labels and ship lists, making it easy to pack and ship samples for home use testing.
Monitor Panelists
Monitor the progress of panelists in real time. In a lab, know what sample to serve next and to which sensory booth. For consumer testing in home environments, readily find out whether a consumer has started the test and view their results in real-time.
Streamline Panelist Recruitment & Communications
Compusense at-hand screening tests help you select and recruit your panelists. Choose from many criteria—demographic information, screener responses, a previous panelist’s track record for completing tests—before sending out a personalized invitation to your chosen consumers. Panelists can update their own profiles online which ensures their information is current.
