Schedule 1
Description
Compusense
Compusense is a subscription-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for secure, Internet-based consumer and sensory testing and analysis.
Overview
With Compusense, software users plan, design, construct, present and analyze sensory and consumer tests. Software users can also conduct surveys to collect consumer opinions, gather product and packaging concept feedback and get demographic information. Tests are securely presented to respondents anywhere with an Internet connection and virtually any device with a web browser.
The Subscription
Each subscribing company’s data is kept in that company’s Subscription. Although managed by Compusense, all data collected in each subscription belongs to the Subscriber.
- Each Subscription has a dedicated file system and database.
- Company subscriptions are scaled based on the number of users.
- The number of users available are determined at purchase.
- Software users connect from anywhere with an Internet connection and a web browser.
How It Works
- Subscribers are companies or organizations that hold a Compusense Subscription. Organizations with multiple locations may possess individual Subscriptions or share one Subscription amongst several sites.
- A Subscription is a unique instance of the Compusense software (file system, database, and user accounts) that belongs to a Subscriber.
- Software users are the people who build tests. A software user is an employee or trusted third party who creates consumer and sensory tests to be presented on the web. After data collection, the software user can analyze results, generate reports, and export the collected data to other applications.
- User accounts are set up to allow secure access to the subscription. Each user account is assigned a unique login.
- Tests are the questionnaires presented by the software users. Surveys, product-related questionnaires, concept tests, or demographic screeners are all examples of tests.
- Panelists are the people who respond to tests. Depending on the context, Panelists can also be referred to as Consumers, Respondents or Trained Assessors.
- Websites are used for data collection. The URL can be within the *.compusenselcoud.com domain or optionally a domain provided by the client.
Users and User Management
- Software users connect to Compusense with their unique login.
- A second authentication factor is required to login to Compusense provided accounts (e.g. pin via email or authentication through the mobile app).
- Optionally clients can setup Single Sign-On to be able to access Compusense using their corporate credentials.
- Where applicable, Compusense software users can be assigned permissions and group membership for oversight and collaboration with other software users in the Subscription. This is ideal for clients who require cross-functional or multi-location collaboration.
Test Design and Management
- Compusense can be used for many different testing scenarios: Central Location (CLT), Home-Use (HUT), Sensory Labs, Production Facilities, Quality Assurance, Point-of-Use or Purchase and many others.
- The platform includes testing methods supported by sensory and consumer science best practices and research.
- A wide variety of question types are available.
- The Temporal Methods Module includes question types designed specifically for recording a panelists experience over time.
- Software users can design engaging tests using fonts, images, and video, with an intuitive text editor.
- Software users may save test elements, like attributes and questions, or even entire tests, to a Template Library that can also be shared with other users for future use and rapid test creation.
- Experimental designs may be customized, saved, stored and shared in the Experimental Plan library.
- Many detailed sample presentation options are available to accommodate replications, balanced incomplete block designs, panelist make-up sessions, and multi-day presentations.
- It is possible to remove unavailable samples from a running test.
- Or, make tests with flexible designs in which samples are added on the fly, based on availability.
- The Product database permits tracking products over time and across tests.
Panelist Communication
- Panelists respond to tests via a direct test link or logging on to a website completing assigned tests.
- Compusense websites and tests may be customized to reflect brand and testing requirements.
- Presentation languages for websites are provided as required.
- The Panelist database delivers flexible panelist management.
- Panelist activity and performance is easily monitored, even during tests.
- Automatic online panel recruitment may be achieved using an optional custom Application Form.
- Quotas may be set for screening and recruiting panelists.
- Compusense Scheduling allows recruited panelists to schedule themselves for testing sessions at different locations. When used, Scheduling will also provide a visual overview of all of your upcoming testing schedule in the Calendar view.
- Communicate with Panelists by emailing directly from Compusense.
Data Analysis and Exports
- Analyze and graph collected data all within Compusense and/or the test monitoring web application, and generate reports in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.
- A wide range of statistical analyses are included.
- Easily export data to other software for further analysis.
- Optional APIs are available for the transfer of data between Compusense and other client’s systems.
