1986
Compusense Founded
In 1986, Dr. Chris Findlay founds Compusense in Guelph, Canada, seeing a strong demand for the computerization of sensory analysis to accelerate the product development cycle.
Working closely with clients and the sensory community, Compusense develops software based on sensory best practices and sound scientific methods.
2003
Compusense Develops Feedback Calibration Method (FCM®)
Compusense’s extensive research and experience in panel training methods results in the development of the Feedback Calibration Method (FCM®) for panelist calibration.
The FCM® method has been shown to save panel training time by up to 40%.
2006
Online Data Collection System Launched
Compusense at-hand, our hosted software as a service is launched. Later called Compusense Cloud, the SaaS approach offers new ways to collect sensory and consumer data in on increasingly connected world.
Global organizations joining the SaaS model find new efficiencies in collaborating with their teams worldwide.
2021
Compusense Continues Its Growth
Compusense becomes part of Toronto-based Constellation Software, Inc. (CSI), with Jacqueline Dysart named president.
Now fully web based, the Compusense software builds on our 35 year foundation and has created a new user experience that is designed specifically to be user friendly and easily accessible from smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
2024
Compusense Software Looks to the Future
Compusense continues to build our reputation for excellent customer service and support with the web based Compusense software.
Many of our first clients remain our clients today.

Compusense and Biosystèmes have established a partnership that brings together two iconic pioneers in sensory software. With a shared vision and a wealth of knowledge and experience in sensory and consumer science, our industry-leading software and support provide confidence in the success of your products.
This partnership means that Compusense has expanded in Europe, with Biosystèmes selling and supporting Compusense software, along with Fizz, in French and during European time zones. This includes support from Monday to Friday between 3:00 am – 6:00 pm EST or 10:00 am – 12:00 am CET.
