Welcome to the 20th Nordic Sensory Workshop, a long-standing meeting point gathering for sensory and consumer science professionals across the Nordic and Baltic regions. The very first workshop was held in Vestby, Norway in 1987, under the theme Avansert sensorik. Since then, the event has grown into a respected platform for sharing scientific insights, practical tools, and regional collaboration in sensory research.

This year’s workshop is organized by a network of sensory science experts from Finland, in collaboration with committee members from Nordic and Baltic countries. Together, we aim to foster dialogue between academia and industry, and to strengthen the Nordic approach to sensory and consumer science.
In 2026, the Nordic Sensory Workshop will be partly co-hosted with the European Sensory Network (ESN) annual seminar, offering participants access to joint keynote sessions and broader European perspectives. This shared format brings together leading voices in sensory science and opens new avenues for collaboration and innovation.
